WHEY-OUT UPDATE #1:

Whey-Out Chocolate is Closing for the Summer!

Last day for orders is July 3, 2008

The unbearable heat and humidity in Georgia have made it very difficult for us to get ingredients and produce the chocolate. Plus shipping chocolate in the summer heat is risky, even with insulated shippers and overnight shipping with ice.

If you place an order before the deadline, please be sure to add an insulated shipper to your order (we’re offering them in the shop at a discounted price of $6.00 each) to protect your chocolate from the heat. If you live in a warmer climate where the temperatures are over 80° F (27°C), we strongly recommend overnight shipping.

We plan on resuming production in September 2008. The exact date is dependent on the following additional announcement:

                                       WHEY-OUT UPDATE #2:

Whey-Out Chocolate is Moving to California

During the week of July 21 we will be packing up and moving the whole operation to Sacramento, CA. The drier climate, better availability of ingredients, and overall healthier lifestyle there will be better for our business.

We are tentatively planning to resume production and sales in September. I’ll be posting regular progress reports on the Whey-Out Food Allergy Forum at this LINK.

Whey-Out Chocolate:
Creators of confections that are safe for people with food allergies and sensitivities.

If you have food allergies, then you know what it’s like to be excluded at parties because you can’t eat the cake or ice cream; or to walk down aisles of seasonal treats in the stores that look so delicious but are totally forbidden; or to look longingly at display cases full of desserts in restaurants that are strictly off-limits; or how difficult it is to simply find treats to enjoy just because…

Whey-Out Chocolate’s mission is to fulfill the “dessert void” in the lives of people with food allergies. We offer an ever-growing line of confections that are dairy-free, peanut-free, tree-nut-free, soy-free, and even gluten-free – so people with food allergies can finally indulge in delicious treats that have never been available before. Our line includes confections such as (parentheses at the end of the descriptions indicate the allergies for which these products are safe -- see below for legend):
